Volunteer Training
The Children's Grief Center will be training volunteers to act as Group Facilitators in assisting children, teens and adults as they move through the grieving process. We would need your services weekly, on Thursdays from 6-9 p.m.
If you think you might be interested in helping out, contact us at 915-532-6004 or email Alice at: . Our fee is $25 as we run a criminal background check on all volunteer candidates. We will provide lunch on Jan. 29th. We ask for a one year commitment.

School Grief Support Project
The Children's Grief Center is partnering with area school districts to help bring our services to the community.
October 18th to November 29th, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
At Thomas Manor Elementary at 7900 Jersey St.
Any student is welcome to attend.

Not The End of the Chavez Family
No Es el fin de la familia Chavez
The story is about the Chavez Family, a Children's Grief Center family and their journey from grief to healing and hope, following the loss of their dad. The book is written in English and Spanish, making it more enjoyable for our borderland families. The story is beautifully written by Mari Dombkowski, an Austin, Texas author with illustrations by Nazar Horokhivskyi. We are so proud to present it. It is available for sale on Amazon and on Mari Dombroski's website at www.nottheendbook.com. We will be making the book available to area schools that we serve through the School Grief Support Project.
